First days at Krabi

Hi everyone,

escaping the interesting but not very recreating city of Bangkok, I arrived at Krabi on Saturday and immediately went for the beach. On the longtail boat to Raleigh beach I met Josi and Franzi and hung out on the beach with them and did you boulders on the climbing rocks directly at the beach (noticing that I haven't been doing any climbing since last fall ;)

Next day, Josi and I got ourselfs a Tandem Kayak and went on a nice 4 hour trip to the islands off shore of Raileh Beach West. Very recommendable, at least for people who don't mind a bit of physical exercise ;)
pure white beaches, much clearer water than at the mainland beaches and partially complete loneliness.

So much for today. Tomorrow I'll rent a scooter and check out the mountains in the hinterland of Krabi and hopefully have a nice bath in one of the waterfall pools. Let's hope they have a helmet in my size :)

  1. I'm soo jealous!!! Raileh is just one of the most beautiful spots ever! Was there in 2008 and loved it... Make sure you don't only climb on those rocks but get your face under water and find some turtles or so...

All the best from rainy Italy, :-(
